- Bill ButlerAug, 20 2018★ ★ ★ ★ ★I had a Lapband in 2006. It was a disaster. It was done in Ormond Beach Florida and not by Dr, Marema. August 27, 2014 Dr. Marema saved my life by removing the Lapband and replacing it with a Full RNY Gastric Bypass. I have not had one bit of trouble. I do follow all guidelines.
