  A few things I learned about a paver project (and wish I had known BEFORE working with Leonardo.. (a) double-check the estimate BEFORE giving a materials deposit: my estimate increased by about 40% after Leonardo came back to check the square-footage, (b) know that the "border" - called a soldier course - is "extra" even though they always "go by square footage" (and the soldier course is obviously included in the square footage), (c) be cautious about your existing shrubs (put rope or something around them to protect them during removal of your old driveway) and realize that the grass near the driveway will take a beating also, (d) realize that they use the same-old-paver on edges that are exposed (doesn't look quite as finished as it could). Workmanship was pretty good and the new driveway does look great - just cost about $4500 more than I thought it would. PS: sealer is an 'extra' charge - in my case, $2200 to put down $400 worth of material... I think I'll tackle that one myself...
