  After spending a long weekend in St Augustine at the Casa Monica Hotel, we felt compelled to acknowledge their outstanding service with a review on Trip Advisor. Throughout the check-in process, and several miscellaneous requests (Room Service, Housekeeping, etc.) we were treated like VIP’s - even though we booked using Marriott Rewards points. For example, after misplacing our complimentary Sangria voucher, good for two drinks, I notified the front desk. Without batting an eyelash, the Sunday evening front desk clerk smiled and handed me another voucher. Then, at the Lobby bar, we planned to redeem our voucher for two drinks and pay for a third (for a visiting daughter who wasn’t staying at the Casa Monica). The bartender made our two drinks and said he’d throw in the 3rd one compliments of the house. That’s the kind of service that is expected, but in my experience rarely seen in hotels these days. While our room was on the smallish side, and this older hotel lacks some of the modern amenities like bedside USB ports, we found the room very comfortable. The location simply could not be better. Right in the middle of historic St. Augustine, the Casa Monica Resort is steps away from all of the shopping and dining St. Augustine has to offer. We will absolutely return!
